Besides his responsibilities at UMD’s Department of Theatre, Scott Boyle was the resident Technical Director at Peninsula Players Theatre, America’s oldest professional resident summer theatre, for 20 years. There, he had the pleasure of working with some of the top designers, directors, and actors from Chicago and around the country. After receiving his MFA in Technical Direction from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, Scott has worked with several professional and educational theatres in the Midwest, including Kansas City Repertory Theatre, St. Louis Repertory Theatre, American Heartland Theatre, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, as well as theatre programs at the University of Arkansas and Webster Conservatory of Theatre and Dance. Scott teaches courses in stagecraft, properties construction, drafting, stage management, and mechanical design for the stage.
