The mission of the Political Science and International Studies programs includes teaching, research, and service in all aspects of American and global politics and political science. Our objective is to help prepare students for participation and engagement in an interconnected and complex world.
We offer majors and minors in both Political Science and International Studies and a stand-alone minor in Social Analytics. We also provide courses to satisfy Teaching Social Studies and a home for the Mock Trial Team, Political Science Association, and Pre-Law Club.
Our Faculty are respected in their fields and committed to excellent teaching and research. We are engaged in outreach activities in our communities through internships, speakers, and community partnerships. Political Science and International Studies graduates are leaders in state, local, and national governments as well as in the corporate world, legal professions, education, journalism, and non-profit organizations.
