Her passion for the place of literature in the human heart carries into her passion for the medical humanities. At City College of New York, she teaches a Freshman Inquiry Writing Seminar to pre-med students on writing about narrative medicine and works toward refining their medical humanities writing curriculum. (Julia has long worked at the intersection of writing and medicine, including freelance writing for St. Luke’s as part of her MA degree at UMD.)
