Ryan Loken, joins us as Instructor of Percussion at UMD and is known across the region as both a solo performer and a collaborator. A believer in the impacts of physical and mental health on musicianship, Loken stresses the importance of a total-body approach to percussion.
Dr. Zach Marley is from Louisville, Kentucky and is a freelance low brass artist and teacher. Equally versed on all low brass instruments, Zach has been very successful in international competitions on multiple instruments.
Chris Fettig is our new Assistant Director of Choral Activities, where he conducts the UMD Concert Chorale, Chamber Choir, and vocal jazz ensemble Chill Factor, and teaches voice lessons and ear training.
Dr. Lina Yoo Min Lee is a highly prolific pianist and proactive pedagogue renowned worldwide for her captivating and insightful expressionist style. Dr. Lee serves as the Assistant Professor of Piano on the piano faculty here at UMD.
Dr. J. David Arnott is a member of the DSSO viola section since 2002 and Manager of Orchestra Operations since 2022, and joins us to teach our viola and violin students.
Lyric soprano, Lora Gauthier Dixon, is an Instructor of Voice and director of the Opera Studio at UMD. Ms. Dixon has enjoyed performing a wide variety of solo, chamber, opera, and ensemble music throughout her career.
