The Department of Communication is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Lingzi Zhong to our faculty. Lingzi joins us on the tenure-track as an Assistant Professor specializing in Health Communication.
The Department of Communication is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Lingzi Zhong to our faculty. Lingzi joins us on the tenure-track as an Assistant Professor specializing in Health Communication. She comes to us from one of the top Communication programs in the world at the University of Texas-Austin, where she studied under Dr. Anita Vangelisti, and after completing a postdoc at the Huntsman Cancer Research Institute at the University of Utah.
She works with Uncertainty Reduction Theory, in particular, to understand how people navigate the uncertainty of various health situations in both close relationships and healthcare situations. Here is an example of some of her recent work. Her method and theory expertise will strengthen our offerings in research methods and health and interpersonal communication.
