This collegiate honor is awarded to one tenured profesor and one non-tenured professor annually. Dr. Hylenski serves as the Program Coordinator of German Studies and Coordinator of the WLC Living Learning Community. A stellar teacher in and outside of the classroom, Dr. Hylenski helps students become globally competent citizens and reach goals in language proficiency. On top of that, Dr. Hylenski is dedicated to helping students find their place here at UMD through intentional community building and inclusive practices.
