Biographical Sketch
Sue is currently the President/Principal Investigator and owner of the Duluth Archaeology Center LLC., a private for-profit woman-owned small business offering Cultural Resource Management (CRM) consulting services. She formerly was a GS-9 archaeologist with the Superior National Forest (2001-2005) and Associate Director of the Archaeometry Laboratory at the University of Minnesota Duluth (1988-2001). She is a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) with over 35 years of experience in archaeology, focusing on northeastern Minnesota. Sue has a B.A. in Geology as well as a M.S. and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Archaeological Studies. She teaches archaeology courses at the University of Minnesota Duluth (adjunct assistant professor of Anthropology) including the field course in archaeological methods. She is the author of 37 publications in The Minnesota Archaeologist, Current Research in the Pleistocene, Geoarchaeology, North American Archaeologist, Canadian Journal of Botany, Annals of Botany, Journal of Archaeological Science, The Phytolitharien Newsletter; chapters in books (The Fish Lake Dam Site, The Reservoir Lakes Complex, Phytolith Systematics); and editor of two issues of The Minnesota Archaeologist.
