Originally from South Dakota, I began my teaching career in White Bear Lake, MN where I taught sections of junior and senior high school language arts. After two years, I moved back home to Sioux Falls, where I taught for thirteen years. I’ve primarily focused on teaching American literature and academic writing during my career; however, I have experience in British and world literature.Â
My interests are in contemporary literature, including science fiction and fantasy. My high school education experience has led to an interest in education philosophy, specifically regarding education reform. I enjoy reading, writing, embroidery, and am becoming a casual horticulturalist.Â
