University Singers join the DSSO Chorus for Performance of Michael Tippett's "A Child of Our Time"

The University of Minnesota Duluth University Singers joined the Duluth Symphony Orchestra and Chorus on November 5, 2022 at the DECC for a Michael Tippett's moving oratorio, "A Child of Our Time", conducted by Dirk Meyer.  This challenging work, inspired by the horrible events resulting in violence against Jewish people perpetrated by the Nazis, asks us to consider the history of violence toward oppressed people in all times and place.  It was an unforgettable experience!  This work was the first performance of this piece by many in the chorus and orchestra.
