UMD Continuing Education Names New Director

Roxanne Richards named the new director of Continuing Education.

Following a robust search and interview process, Roxanne Richards has been named the new director of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Roxanne served as interim director following Lynn Burbank's retirement in December.

Roxanne joined UMD Continuing Education in 2010. Among her accomplishments, she developed a key relationship with the State of Minnesota culminating in recurring contracts to deliver Tribal and State Relations training to 1200+ state agency employees since 2012. This resulted in revenue exceeding $184,000 in 2015. Roxanne also recently oversaw the submission of two successful Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Grants totaling more than $170,000.

Roxanne earned a masters of arts with a focus on Education Administration from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn. She earned a bachelor of arts with an emphasis on business psychology from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, Minn.
