Monday, April 26, 3:00-4:00PM (CST)  z.umn.edu/reimagining

The Derek Chauvin trial is a "living history" of the complex issues of race, policing and the criminal justice system in America. Professor Luis Fernandez will discuss the historical background of these relationships and consider what "reimagining" the police might mean today.

Luis Fernandez is chair of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northern Arizona University.

This event is sponsored by the Department of Studies in Justice, Culture and Social Change & the African and African American Studies Program.
