UMD Students were Featured at Matinee Musicale's College Scholarship Recital

Congratulations to our UMD Music students that were featured in this year's College Scholarship Recital hosted by Matinee Musicale! We are proud of the students that performed: Jessica Polacheck (clarinet), Kyle Gill (guitar), Grant Carl (bass), Isabel Blakewell (soprano), Katherine Shmelev (piano), and Alexandra Bragg (violin).

Matinee Musicale sponsors a College Scholarship Recital which features twelve talented musicians from each of the three local colleges: University of Wisconsin-Superior, College of St. Scholastica, and University of Minnesota-Duluth. The students are selected by their music department and receive a scholarship award from Matinee Musicale.

For over 120 years Matinee Musicale has been bringing world-class chamber music to Duluth. Whether a musician of international stature or an up-and-coming emerging artist, Matinee Musicale offers the chance to see (and hear!) amazing performers. Their mission is to provide musical programs to conduct artistic, cultural, educational, and charitable activities.
