Chongwon Park used the empirical methods of computational linguistics to study the use of indefinite pronouns in the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) using statistical methods developed with Ron Regal. Park brought those methods into dialogue with the pedagogical literature in Writing Studies [with his colleagues Elizabethada Wright and David Beard] to help us understand how we match verbs with nouns in sentences.
