Dr. Jeremy Youde originally served UMD as an assistant professor of political science from 2008 to 2016. He returned to UMD in 2019, soon taking on the role of Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. We are grateful for Dean Youde’s years of service, including his guidance during the ongoing global pandemic, and will miss his empathetic leadership, commitment to academics, and (of course) the stunning array of bowties.
Dr. Jennifer Brady has been with UMD since 2013 and most recently served as the department head of World Languages and Cultures, as well as an associate professor of Spanish. We are thrilled for Interim Dean Brady to step into this key role.
Interim Dean Brady joins us as we also welcome UMD’s new Chancellor, Dr. Charles Nies. Stay tuned to this space for updates around this energizing moment for UMD and CAHSS!
