Brady Elected Interim Head of World Languages & Cultures

Dr. Jennifer Brady, Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies, is the interim head of the Department of World Languages and Cultures.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures is happy to have Dr. Jennifer Brady serving as Interim Head for the spring 2020 semester. Professor Brady came to UMD in 2013 and received tenure and promotion to associate professor in 2018. In addition to being a popular teacher of courses such as Cinema and Culture in Spain and Advanced Spanish for Business, Jennifer is an active scholar with numerous publications, who also serves as managing editor of Hispania, the journal of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. “I’m looking forward to this opportunity to continue cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and students in a new way,” says Jennifer. “I’m happy to lead our department in promoting the value of inclusive learning and global understanding on our campus.”
