Maryam Khaleghiyazdi is a Graphic and UX Designer, multidisciplinary artist, and Associate Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Graphic Design from the University of Tehran and later earned a second Master’s degree in Graphic Design from Ohio University. Her work connects design, art, and research, with a focus on migration, environmental justice, and creative innovation.

As an immigrant to the United States, she seeks to amplify the voices of immigrant communities through visual storytelling and design. Her projects on sustainability and environmental justice have been presented in national and international exhibitions. Alongside her academic work, she continues her professional design practice, creating human-centered digital experiences for various industries and educational sectors, as well as contributing as a graphic designer and illustrator.
