Personal Statement
My graduate research project was an interesting experience as I researched the crossover between politics and popular culture. My main subject was then Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura. The concept was how similar are politics and popular culture and how does it affect the way we see Jesse Ventura as Governor. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time at our families’ cabins in Northern and Central Minnesota. I also enjoy reading, baking and taking vacations with my family. I have three children and am very involved in their activities. I enjoy volunteering at their school, church groups, scouts, and sporting activities.
Awards/Recognitions
I was named outstanding graduate student 2000 at the University of North Dakota.
I enjoy doing book reviews for various publishing houses.
