Fun facts about you:

  • I speak Tagalog, Chinese, French, and English fluently (some better than others). 
  • I am a huge art nerd and nerd in general.

Why are you excited to be a Peer Advisor?
I love helping others and making sure they get the help they need. I'm also excited to gain work experience and work with such great and welcoming staff.

What is your favorite thing about UMD? 
I love the aesthetics of Duluth and going to school here opens up so much opportunity for art projects and even making connections with others that enjoy the same subjects!

Fun facts about you: 

  • I was on the dance team all four years of high school.
  • I have two older siblings, one at Gustavus Aldophos College and one at Walter Reed in Maryland.
  • I am studying to be a documentary film-maker.
  • I have a kitty of my own, her name is Vienna (after Billy Joel's song).  

Why are you excited to be a Peer Advisor? 
I'm excited to be a peer advisor because it gives me an opportunity to help other students! I'm also able to learn a lot about UMD and all of the unique activities being offered. Additionally, being able to make connections with the women in our office is incredible and I'm so grateful to work here!

What is your favorite thing about UMD?
The location and athletics. Lake Superior is one of my favorite sights! Also, our involvement in outdoor activities is something I look forward too. Football and hockey season are so much fun; our athletics give us so much to support.

Why are you excited to be a Peer Advisor?
I am excited to be more invested in my area of study and to help my peers who are trying to do the same. I am also excited to make connections with the women in our office. They make this environment so welcoming and lively! :)

What is your favorite thing about UMD?
The location and the people. It's one thing to be lucky enough to have a gorgeous view, but to have genuine people here as well, is something very unique.

Excited to be back in the office, I missed this job during distance learning last year.
